Getting started

From a new account to a running server you can SSH into — usually in under five minutes.

1. Create your account

Go to Create account and enter your name, email and US phone number. Kasada Hosting is available to customers in the United States. We create an organization for you (you are its owner) and a default project for your servers.

2. Verify your email and phone

We send a link to your email and a 6-digit code to your phone by SMS. Both are needed before you can create servers — it keeps spammers off the network, which keeps our IP addresses clean for everyone.

3. Top up your wallet

Kasada Hosting is prepaid. Open Billing in the console and choose Top up. Your first top-up must be at least $10. You pay by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay) in US dollars. See Billing & wallet.

4. Add an SSH key

Servers are reached over SSH with a key, not a password. If you don't have a key yet:

bash
ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -C "you@example.com"
cat ~/.ssh/id_ed25519.pub

Copy the line that starts with ssh-ed25519 and paste it under SSH keys in the console. More in SSH keys.

5. Create a server

Open Servers → Create server, pick a region (US East is the default), an image (for example Ubuntu 24.04), a plan (K1 is a great start), tick your SSH key and give it a name. The price summary shows the cost per hour and per month before you confirm.

Your server is usually running in under a minute. Then connect:

bash
ssh root@203.0.113.10

New-account limits

For the first 30 days a new account can run up to 2 servers, on plans up to K2. Larger plans unlock automatically after that, or sooner on request through Support.
